Living Step Solutions is founded on my deep desire to help people create more rewarding lives. My own journey of long-term recovery, therapy, fellowship, and coaching led me to align my life with my core values. And now I use “Serenitizing” – to help others do the same, one intentional step at a time.

I founded Living Step Solutions out of a deep commitment to helping people align their values with their goals and take intentional steps toward a more rewarding life.
My professional career spans over 37 years in the wine and beverage industry, where I built and led high-performing sales teams across the western United States. I consistently exceeded goals, earned multiple Salesman of the Year awards, and became a certified trainer in time management and leadership development.
I developed my S.T.E.P.S. goal system based on those years of experience.
My passion then and now is a rewarding life.
My ability to develop people and drive growth defined my career — and now fuels my coaching practice.
In 2023, a life-changing health crisis and liver transplant gave me the chance to begin again. Choosing sobriety meant leaving behind a career that had enabled my addiction and embracing a new path centered on service, purpose, and growth.
Through my journey, I realized it wasn’t my career that drove me to drink; rather, I had chosen a profession that enabled my drinking. My life had become unmanageable, and I was powerless over alcohol. Reflecting on my past, I once believed that “passing out” from drinking was simply falling asleep. Now I understand that was denial — a hallmark of alcoholism.
Like many alcoholics, I initially resisted the idea that I had a problem, even after my diagnosis with cirrhosis.
At first, I didn’t see myself as “one of those people” with a drinking problem. But when faced with needing a liver transplant, my perspective shifted. If identifying as an alcoholic meant I could get the help I needed, I was willing to accept that label.
With the guidance of a 12-step program, the most proven framework for change, and a strong sponsor, I began to learn the truth about myself.
I took back control to live a Serenitizing life.
Today, I bring the same discipline, strategic mindset, and compassion that made me a business leader into my role as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Life Coach. I combine my lived experience with professional skill to meet people where they are — whether in recovery, navigating career transitions, or seeking greater balance and fulfillment.
I live in Southern California with my wife, who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with me through surgery, sobriety, and every step of rebuilding. Together, we share life with our two beagles, Joy and Lilo — whose name fittingly means “generous one” in Hawaiian.
I did it to live my Life Fully — on my terms.
That’s what I help people do.
